Puis glissant le long de la croupe, il s'agrippa fermement à la queue, et à chaque fois que le cheval se retournait, l'homme l'effrayait en lui aspergeant la tête d'eau. Dès que le cheval reprit pied de l'autre côté, l'homme remonta sur lui et s'assit bride en main, avant qu'il eût regagné la rive. Un homme nu sur un cheval nu est un plaisant spectacle.
